How It Works.
The two systems are connected via API integration, allowing exterior lighting to be controlled through the Lutron app, a physical Lutron control (such as the Pico remote), and the Timeclock feature within the Lutron app. The Synapse system provides real-time feedback, reporting individual fixtures' on/off status and dimming levels directly to the Lutron app, ensuring a cohesive and streamlined control experience.
COMPONENTS OF SOLUTION
Gateways
The Synapse gateway coordinates communication with all Synapse-enabled devices. In addition to hosting the local SimplySnap user interface (WiFi or Ethernet), the Synapse gateway collects power and status data, applies zone behaviors, stores scheduled events, generates notifications, and updates controllers with the latest features and enhancements.
In-Fixture Controllers
In-fixture controllers are installed at the factory by the fixture OEM. These controllers are DC-powered by the LED driver and offer options for 0-10V dimming, DALI2/D4i, and analog sensor inputs, providing seamless integration with various lighting setups.
External Controllers
External Controllers simplify the process of adding wireless controls in the field. With a variety of AC- and DC-powered options, these controllers and sensors support a wide range of fixture configurations, enabling quick and flexible deployment.
